Gemma's case experience

  • Delayed diagnosis of cancer – represented the Estate of a woman who suffered from a delayed diagnosis of cervical cancer due to a failure to report a cervical smear test correctly. Despite receiving extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the woman sadly died. A claim was pursued on behalf of the Estate, and Gemma could recover in excess of £300,000 compensation for the family.
  • Represented a man who, amongst other claimants, suffered several months' delay in his follow-up for appointments at an eye clinic. This resulted in worsening vision in his left eye and loss of vision in his right eye. The claim settled for approximately £250,000.
