Personal injury specialist Phil is Head of Personal Injury at Thompsons Solicitors.

Qualifying as a solicitor in 1998, Phil has used his wealth of legal knowledge and experience to expertly handle high-value cases of up to seven figures, which include head injuries, amputations, fatal accidents, multiple orthopaedic injuries, psychiatric and chronic pain conditions.

Phil now leads on and develops the firm's personal injury strategy and operations.

One of the most rewarding things about working at Thompsons for Phil is being able to make a real difference in the lives of injured people and their families when they need it most.

Outside of work, Phil is a keen swimmer.

Phil’s case experience

  • Settled a case for £2.2 million for a firefighter who suffered life-changing injuries after he went into a burning house to rescue a family. This was the biggest-ever settlement for a UK firefighter.
  • Obtained over £750,000 for a paramedic who suffered relatively minor physical injuries in an RTA but developed a neuropathic condition requiring a spinal cord stimulator and was able to continue working in their chosen career.
  • Secured £500,000 for a worker at a recycling plant who had his hand crushed by machinery and needed a partial amputation.
