SONIA’S CASE EXPERIENCE

Medical negligence claim: Sonia’s client suffered a small stroke, the symptoms of which were misdiagnosed by medical staff as an eye problem. She went on to suffer a second stroke with life-changing effects resulting in an inability to continue working or to look after her young children. At trial, the court agreed that the failure to diagnose Sonia’s client’s small stroke, while not being able to prevent the second stroke, materially contributed to its severity. The ruling resulted in Sonia securing compensation of £150,000 for her client.

Medical negligence claim: Sonia’s young client suffered severe infections for a period of eight months following a hip surgery as a result of inadequate prophylactic antibiotics and repeated failures to diagnose signs of infection. Liability was partially admitted and the claim was settled for £30,000.

TESTIMONIALS

Sonia’s former client, Miss Freckleton, said: “My case was handled very professionally by Sonia. I was always updated and reassured that if there was any questions or queries I had she was only ever phone call away. I was lucky enough to have a successful case and that wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of Sonia and her team. I am forever grateful for how my case was resolved and dealt with. I couldn’t have asked for more.”

Another of Sonia’s former clients said: “(Sonia’s) perseverance to see that justice was done will forever have our utmost respect and gratitude.”
