SUSAN’S CASE EXPERIENCE
Accident at work claim: Susan represented a client whose arms were crushed by a roller on an extruder machine. The claimant suffered severe injuries including crush injuries to both forearms, fractures to his wrists and hands and a de-gloving injury. Susan secured a settlement in the range of £500,000 for her client.
Mesothelioma claim: Susan’s client developed mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos at work when employed as a painter and decorator during the late 1950s, early 1960s and the 1970s. Liability was denied on the basis that the exposure in the 1950s and 1960s was not sufficient for the employer to have known that the claimant was at risk of developing mesothelioma and that the claimant was not exposed to asbestos in the 1970s. Susan argued to the contrary and the employer settled the case just before trial.
Susan is accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) as a serious injury lawyer and asbestos lawyer.
