The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF) is a national charity that aims to educate people about acquired brain injuries (ABIs) and campaign for better treatment and rehabilitation services in the UK. It organises a variety of conferences and workshops for organisations that support the charity and for those with an ABI and their families.

Brain injury specialists, Thompsons Solicitors, has long supported UKABIF in its campaigning, including ‘Life After Brain Injury? Improve Services Now’, which was launched in July 2012 with the aim of improving early access to care for those with an ABI.

Thompsons has sponsored UKABIF brain injury campaigns focusing on younger people living with an ABI, and has attended the All Party Parliamentary Group for Acquired Brain Injury.

As a firm we have members of our serious injury team who actively work with the charity, including its regional acquired brain injury forums and in a key role on the UKABIF national committee.

Brain injuries are serious and often life-changing, leaving the survivors and their families in considerable distress. UKABIF hopes to improve services for these groups so they aren’t alone after suffering an ABI, and as a firm we know the importance of that support and are committed to work with them in that aim.

Thompsons Solicitors’ brain injury experts are always at hand to help with signposting you to support services such as UKABIF when making a compensation claim.
