Trevor Credland from Broughton, North Lincolnshire, was 77 when he died from the cancer of the lining of the lungs. Mr Credland, who left behind his wife, two children and five grandchildren, was exposed to the deadly dust when he worked as a technical assistant for a chemical company in Hull from 1956 to 1966. Nicola was successful in settling the claim out of court.

John Leatherland, from Newark in Nottinghamshire was exposed to asbestos whilst working as a fitter in power stations and factories between 1968 and 1972. A former client of Nicola’s said: “Without (her) guidance and knowledge, I'm sure that I would not have achieved a successful outcome."

Another of Nicola’s former clients said: “The first firm of solicitors I went to did very little and did not give me any hope. I should have gone to a specialist firm like Thompsons in the first place. (Nicola) knew what she was doing from the start and dealt with my case really efficiently and professionally. I’m delighted.”
