The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is a national charitable organisation which specialises in providing practical advice, support and services to people following a spinal cord injury (SCI). It is user-led and uses its significant experience of spinal cord injury to help anyone from newly-injured people to those who have lived with a SCI long term.
Thompsons is proud to partner with the SIA to help realise its vision of ensuring survivors of spinal cord injury receive the specialist care, treatment, rehabilitation and support they need in order to live full and active lives.
Making a spinal cord injury compensation claim – focused on securing early interim payments and taking into account long term health, rehabilitation, housing and transportation needs – is an important first step towards rebuilding lives and regaining independence.
Our track record of success in securing multi-million pound compensation payments in this extremely specialist area of personal injury law is matched only by the empathy and dedication of our specialist serious injury team.
Thompsons’ spinal cord injury solicitors, based around the UK, undergo regular specialist training and development to hone their litigation skills, and ensure they keep abreast of leading edge treatment and rehabilitation innovations in the field.
We’re proud to be a partner to the SIA and to have secured inclusion in its directory of accredited legal providers. The SIA’s solicitor directory is published annually and only features firms of solicitors who have met a set of stringent criteria, developed by the SIA, to ensure that they can provide qualified, experienced spinal cord injury solicitors to support injured people. To achieve inclusion in the SIA directory, Thompsons has been required to prove that it has:
- Significant expertise and specialism in serious injury and medical negligence compensation claims involving spinal cord injury.
- Dealt with cases in which very significant sums of compensation were awarded.
- Is able to provide free initial interviews at a location of the injured person’s choosing – whether at one of our offices, at the claimant’s home or at hospital.
