Charlotte is a Member (Partner) of the firm. Charlotte is Costs lawyer who joined Thompsons in 2006, having first specialised in legal costs in 2003. She has been a qualified member of the Association of Costs Lawyers since 2010 and became an associate of Thompsons and a Partner of the firm thereafter. In addition to managing the National Costs Department at Thompsons, she also manages the Court of Protection costs team.
At any one-time Charlotte has a caseload of High Court costs matters, including serious and catastrophic injury, clinical negligence and asbestos cases. Charlotte has conducted costs proceedings in both the Supreme Court (notable cases being Cox v Ministry of Justice 2016, Trigger Asbestos Litigation 2012 and Williams v BA 2010) and the Court of Appeal (notable case being the Marlie Farm Litigation).
Charlotte regularly advises and delivers training on costs regulatory matters and best practice at the firm.
