Harriet is a dedicated solicitor within Thompsons Solicitors’ national medical negligence team, based in Cardiff. Since qualifying in 2016, Harriet has worked within personal injury and industrial disease teams. Hariet not specialises exclusively in medical negligence claims, representing individuals and families who have suffered harm due to substandard medical care.

 

Harriet’s work covers a wide spectrum of complex cases, including:

 

  • Delays or failures in diagnosis and treatment
  • Surgical errors and orthopaedic injuries
  • Birth and paediatric injuries
  • Fatal claims supporting bereaved families

 

She guides clients through every stage of the process—from initial instruction and investigation to negotiation and, where necessary, trial—ensuring they receive clear advice and compassionate support. Harriet is known for her meticulous approach to case preparation and her commitment to achieving justice for those affected by medical negligence.

 

In 2025 Harriet settled five cases for clients who had received surgical mesh implant treatment from Mr Dixon and Mr Lindsey. These claims had been ongoing for many years and the settlements brought the clients both financial compensation and the opportunity to start to move forward following their very traumatic experiences.

 

Harriet takes pride in Thompsons’ ethos of acting solely for the injured and never for employers or insurers. This principle underpins her determination to secure accountability and fair outcomes for clients during what is often one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

 

Outside of work, Harriet enjoys horse riding and spending quality time with her family.
