Helen has experience in pursuing a wide variety of cases including brain injury, cerebral palsy, oncology, surgical negligence, paediatric orthopaedic (e.g. delay in diagnosis of DDH), VTE, stillbirth/neonatal death and fatal cases including inquests.
Helen qualified as a Solicitor in 2010 and joined Thompsons in 2024. She has worked solely in the field of medical negligence since qualification having been drawn to working in an area of the law that seeks to redress the balance of power and stands up for the injustices of individuals. Thompsons’ 100% commitment to Claimant work and impressive history in fighting against social and legal injustice attracted Helen to join the firm.
Helen works tirelessly to ensure that the people she represents receive the specialist advice needed to pursue a claim through to a successful conclusion. Also, Helen is resolute about ensuring that where possible the work she does impacts society wider by influencing improvements in patient safety.
Outside of work, family is Helen’s priority. She has a son who was born in 2015 and a daughter who was born in 2023. She enjoys nothing more than hard earned holidays with family either abroad or in the UK. Her “happy place” is Trevone Bay, Cornwall. She also has a love of Formula 1 having attended grand prix in Monaco, Spain, Italy and Singapore.
