Sabeena is an experienced senior clinical negligence solicitor and Associate based in the Bristol office and a key member of Thompsons’ national clinical negligence team.

 

She is currently part of the specialist team managing hundreds of cases involving complications following surgery using mesh products. This includes representing many women who allege they were injured following procedures performed by colorectal surgeon Mr Anthony Dixon. A significant number of these cases have now reached successful conclusions.

 

Sabeena’s wider case experience includes claims involving birth injury, cerebral palsy, stroke cases, misdiagnosis, surgical error, infection, orthopaedic injuries, cauda equina syndrome, and necrotising fasciitis. She is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients, many of whom have experienced life‑changing injuries.

 

She is a ‘Leading Associate’ in the Legal 500 and ranked in Chambers and Partners for dealing with complex clinical negligence matters including birth injury, misdiagnosis claims and notable expertise representing clients who have suffered mesh operations.

Outside her work at Thompsons, Sabeena is the Director of The Sky Project, a Bristol-based charity raising awareness of forced marriage and honour‑based abuse. Her extensive charitable work has been widely recognised:

Sabeena also plays an active role in championing diversity within the legal profession. In 2024 she was appointed to the Board of the South West Ethnic Solicitors Network, and in 2025 she joined the Executive Board of Bristol Law Society as a Director.


In 2025, she was appointed Vice President of Bristol Law Society.

 

In her spare time, Sabeena enjoys playing netball, keeping up with current affairs, and spending time with her young family.

  • £1.25 million secured for a claimant who suffered severe injuries following a Laparoscopic Ventral Mesh Rectopexy (LVMR).
  • £225,000 recovered for a claimant who underwent unnecessary surgeries post‑LVMR and sustained long‑term symptoms impacting her chosen career path.
