Bringing over seventeen years of versatile legal experience to her role, Sabeena manages a wide variety of clinical negligence cases from first instruction to trial. Her work has included misdiagnosis, mistakes in surgery, infection claims and incorrect prescriptions. She has represented clients suffering from orthopaedic and dental injuries, cancer, cauda equina and necrotising fasciitis among other conditions, and has also dealt with a number of fatal injury cases.
After qualifying as a solicitor in 2011, Sabeena worked in a Serious Injury Team where she specialised in chronic pain and fibromyalgia cases, before moving to clinical negligence two years later. She joined Thompsons in 2019, having been promoted to associate at her previous firm.
On a day-to-day basis, Sabeena instructs experts in relation to breach of duty and causation, collates and considers medical records, evaluates witness evidence, attends conferences, and liaises with barristers and experts to ensure the best outcome for her clients.
Sabeena is proud to work for a firm that puts clients’ needs at the forefront of everything they do. For her the most rewarding aspect of working for Thompsons is being surrounded by a compassionate and hard-working team that considers all cases equally and strives to achieve the best result for every client.
Outside of her work at Thompsons, Sabeena directs The Sky Project, a Bristol-based charity raising awareness of forced marriage and honour-based violence. She also enjoys cycling and netball.
