Jay Staker is a Solicitor in the Serious Injury team based in Thompsons’ London office. His work focusses on bringing personal injury claims for individuals who have sustained life-changing injuries arising from accidents at work, road traffic accidents and public liability incidents. Jay is passionate about achieving the very best for his clients in every single case.

Jay has several years of legal experience across a wide range of other practice areas, including inquests, inquiries, civil claims, judicial reviews, employment law and criminal law. He has worked on a number of significant and high-profile cases including the Grenfell Tower Inquiry and civil claims; proceedings in relation to the tragic police shooting of Chris Kaba; and the Supreme Court case of W80 v the IOPC.

Jay is passionate about using the law to promote access to justice. He believes that enforcing the law through the courts is essential to protecting the rights of working people, the injured and mistreated.
