This month (June 2013) will see the launch of a new branch of Headway – the brain injury charity in the North East of England.

The branch, which will cover Darlington and its surrounding areas, will build on the valuable body of support and services already being offered by the brain injury charity in the region.

It will officially launch at a free event on the 26 June 2013 at the Darlington campus of Teesside University. Speakers at the event will include brain injury survivor and chair of the new group, Giles Hudson and Jonathan Kelly, a brain injury coordinator from the James Cook University Hospital who also works with the neighbouring Headway branch in Teesside.

“It is fantastic that Headway has been able to increase its presence in the North East. This can only mean good things for survivors of brain injuries and their families in the region.
