Local brain injury charity, Headway Devon, has been given a boost for their marketing activities thanks to personal injury law firm Thompsons Solicitors.

The South West serious injuries team, based in the Bristol office of the national law firm, has supported Headway by providing new exhibition banners to promote the aims and services of the charity.

Headway Devon, which is based in Exeter, will be using the banners at conferences, exhibitions and training events. Due to the difficult economic climate, the charity has struggled to find spare funds to buy new banners. Providing a service to those in need has been top priority and where any money must be spent first.

Thompsons Solicitors feels passionately about helping the charity, as Alastair Elliot, senior solicitor based at the Bristol office of Thompsons Solicitors, explains: “We represent many people who are suffering from the effects of an acquired brain injury, which wasn’t caused by their own actions.

“Through our work, we are acutely aware of the excellent service provided to individuals and families by Headway Devon. We felt it was the least we could do to provide new marketing material so they can reach more sufferers and offer even more support.”

Improving life after brain injury

Paul Bird, learning and development manager at Headway Devon, commented: “As a charity, even paying for items such as display materials can have a dramatic impact on our finances. We are very appreciative of the support Thompsons has given us by providing these new banners, so we can now showcase our services much more effectively at events and conferences.”

Headway Devon is a local charity dedicated to improving life after brain injury. It provides essential services across Devon and Torbay for people with acquired brain injuries, their families and carers.
