RoadPeace, the national charity for road crash victims has today (17 May) announced that road traffic and serious injury specialist Thompsons Solicitors will be joining its panel of recommended legal firms.

The charity, which specialises in providing support and guidance for victims of road collisions, shares in Thompsons’ ambitions to reduce the number of road deaths and serious collisions in the UK, which – according to the Department for Transport – saw a 3% increase between June 2015 and June 2016.

Having worked alongside RoadPeace regionally for many years, we’re delighted that we’re now being recommended across the UK for expert and empathetic representation of the loved ones of those killed, or seriously injured, on the roads.

Having set up and run RoadPeace North East for many years, which includes an annual memorial service for road crash victims at Durham Cathedral attended by over 100 people, Thompsons Solicitors is to join the national panel of legal firms for the charity.

As part of the national RoadPeace Legal Panel, Thompsons will bring its significant track record of securing high levels of compensation, and exposing failures in road safety and policing, to the table in support of road crash victims across the UK.

David Robinson, Chair of RoadPeace North East and a serious injury specialist at Thompsons Solicitors said: “Having worked alongside RoadPeace regionally for many years, we’re delighted that we’re now being recommended across the UK for expert and empathetic representation of the loved ones of those killed, or seriously injured, on the roads.

“Thompsons Solicitors has specialists based across the country who understand just how devastating a road crash can be, and how crucial it is to have the right legal support to navigate the various stages and procedures following a fatal road crash. We fully back RoadPeace’s efforts to reduce road injuries and crashes, and look forward to working closely with them on future campaigns to make roads safer for all.”

Tiffany Richards, Interim CEO at RoadPeace said: “Thompsons Solicitors has shown its clout and expertise through representing hundreds of bereaved families and seriously injured people as a result of road crashes.

“Their reputation not just as expert solicitors who secure proper compensation after an injury, but as lawyers who understand the complexities and emotional stress of a road collision, makes them a real asset to our legal panel. David Robinson has chaired our regional branch in the North East for several years, and we are now delighted to have Thompsons on board as a member of our national legal panel.”

Thompsons has joined the national RoadPeace Legal Panel after supporting the charity for several years.
