Ian is a specialist solicitor based in Thompsons Solicitors’ Bristol office, working within the firm’s nationally recognised Personal Injury and Industrial Disease teams.

 

Qualifying as a solicitor in 1990, Ian built his early career handling complex personal injury claims involving disease, orthopaedic trauma, and related psychiatric injury. With more than 30 years of experience, he has developed an outstanding reputation for his expertise in work‑related cases, with a particular focus on nautical personal injury claims.

 

Ian’s industrial disease practice includes acting for clients affected by:

  • Occupational hearing loss
  • Hand–arm vibration syndrome (HAVS)
  • Upper limb disorders
  • Respiratory illnesses, including occupational asthma
  • Cumulative trauma injuries
