Based at Thompsons Solicitors' Newcastle office, Victoria Clark, who has been qualified for 11 years, is a senior lawyer in the firm’s well-respected clinical negligence team.

Victoria began her legal career in West Yorkshire, acting for claimants in work-related injuries and public liability accidents. Victoria then moved to the North East, where she assisted in developing her then-firm’s clinical negligence department and began her specialisation in claimant clinical negligence matters.

Having acted for a short period in defendant clinical risk work, Victoria uses that experience as insight into how each side approaches cases and provides her with a greater understanding of the tactics that defendants are likely to use. In addition to her specialist clinical negligence work at Thompsons, Victoria also deals with some serious injury matters.

Victoria specialises in birth injury, spinal injury, amputations and brain injury cases and finds acting only for those who have undergone life-changing injuries and illnesses and never insurers to be rewarding, all the more so having represented defendants in the past. Victoria uses her considerable experience in supervision of other members of the medical negligence solicitors team.

Victoria combines a naturally compassionate approach with a diligent working style to achieve excellent outcomes for her clients, while making her clients feel cared for and understood.

Outside of work, Victoria enjoys playing the piano and swimming, and is also learning British Sign Language.
