Samantha is national head of the serious injury team at Thompsons Solicitors. She is based in the Congress House office, in London.
Samantha is responsible for designing and delivering the firm’s serious injury and clinical negligence strategy, developing campaign initiatives, and ensuring best practice across all of Thompsons’ serious injury and clinical negligence case work. Samantha works closely with trade unions and industry groups to ensure that the firm’s clients receive the very best expert support and advice from the serious injury and medical negligence solicitors.
Samantha has more than 20 years’ experience as a solicitor, specialising in maximum severity cases, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, severe burns and amputations. She is renowned for recovering the maximum amount of compensation for her clients and has successfully settled a number of multi-million pound claims to include both lump sum and periodical payments. Her highest settlement to date is £8.3 million.
Samantha's case experience
- Secured more than £4 million in compensation on the behalf of a client who suffered serious head injuries as a result of a road traffic accident caused by a lorry driver falling asleep at the wheel.
- Represented a client who was paralysed by a fork lift truck at work. Secured interim payments and a settlement of several million pounds.
- Secured interim payments and a settlement of millions after a client sustained life changing injuries after falling off a collapsing platform with defective bolts.
- Represented a client who suffered 65 per cent burns that were caused by a malfunctioning machine at his workplace. Samantha was able to secure a very significant sum of compensation.
