This was a road traffic accident where the claimant suffered typical soft tissue injuries to his neck, shoulder and back. He was off work from his job as a publican for 10 days and on lighter duties for six weeks.
He made a full recovery from the back symptoms within five months and from the neck and shoulder symptoms within eight months.
The award made by DJ Blunsdon at Dartford county Court was £3,239 (including interest) for general damages.
