Following a number of reports in the media about soldiers who have died over the last few decades in SAS training on Welsh mountains, Trevor Hall from the Newcastle office comments further.

Trevor Hall, solicitor at Thompsons Solicitors, who has dealt with more than 100 cases against the Ministry of Defence, said: “One death is one too many.  If this was a civilian employer, the injury rate would be front page news. Yet as we see, time and again, in the cases we pursue for those who are injured or who have sadly lost their lives in training, the MOD never learns.

“The commitment we all have to our armed forces must not blind us to the needless risks they take and a macho culture that leaves the lives of numerous young men and women and their families blighted forever.”
