After suffering for years with cramp in his right leg, a radiologist identified a narrowing of the artery behind Matthew’s knee. During a holiday to Thailand his artery collapsed and he was rushed home for treatment.
Matthew underwent six operations in four weeks but a number of complications developed, including compartment syndrome, which meant he lost his lower right leg.
Matthew said: "Thompsons Solicitors really did fight my corner; they were very patient with me as I tried to rebuild my life after the amputation.
"The experts Thompsons brought on board helped me manage my condition and the personal service I received made me feel valued. They’ve supported me at every stage of my journey since my amputation."
