Did you work with Graham Frederick Thomas from Telford?
The family of a Telford man who sadly died from asbestos cancer are calling for his former workmates to come forward.
Graham Frederick Thomas from Ironbridge, Telford died in June 2010 just over a year after he was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a fatal cancer of the lining of the lungs.
There is no cure for mesothelioma which is caused by exposure to asbestos.
Mr Thomas, who left behind three children and five grandchildren, had emigrated to France.
Following his death his family instructed Thompsons Solicitors to investigate a claim against his former employers.
Did you work for Stafford Plumbing and Heating Company Ltd or at Ironbridge Power Station in Telford?
The family want to hear from anyone who worked with Mr Thomas when he was a plumber and foreman for Stafford Plumbing and Heating Company Ltd from 1972 to 1982. He was largely based at Ironbridge Power Station in Telford but also worked at other locations in the area.
His daughter, Julia, said: “We want to hear from anyone who remembers working with my dad at Ironbridge Power Station or on any of the other jobs he worked on for Stafford Plumbing and Heating Company.
“It is important to the whole family to gain justice for my dad, who suffered from this cancer through no fault of his own.”
Victoria Roberts from Thompsons Solicitors added: “It is important we build up a picture of Mr Thomas’ exposure to asbestos. We would be interested to speak to anyone who worked at Ironbridge Power Station in Telford or for Stafford Plumbing and Heating Company during the 1970’s and 1980’s.
