With experience of all types of clinical negligence – from claims related to brain injury, cerebral palsy, loss of life and gynaecology to those pertaining to orthopaedic injuries, cancer, pressure sores, dentistry and surgery – Beverley often represents claimants who have suffered life changing injuries.

Beverley is proud to be a Thompsons solicitor because the firm puts claimants at the “heart of the matter” and is staffed by people who have an understanding and supportive approach with clients as well as being determined, diligent and driven to succeed on behalf of those they represent.

Outside of work, Beverley enjoys Zumba sessions, a good box set and walking her two French Bulldogs, Monty and Reggie.

CASE EXPERIENCE

Clinical negligence claim: Beverley’s client was a child who suffered from cerebral palsy as a consequence of negligence during her birth. After a letter of claim was sent, liability was admitted and Beverley secured judgement and a £600,000 interim payment to assist the claimant’s parents to buy suitable accommodation and put into place a provisional care regime. The claimant is still a young child and the final award will be determined in the future, once the full extent of the injury and damages can be assessed.

Clinical negligence claim: Beverley’s client was a child that suffered an Erbs palsy injury to her left arm during her birth. The child’s claim was brought on her behalf by her mother who acted as a litigation friend. Byway of medical evidence, Beverley established that the damage to the client’s brachial plexus was as a result of excessive force during her delivery. Liability was denied but the case was settled for a sum of £140,000.
