Ashton is a Litigation Executive based in the Thompsons Birmingham office handling pre-litigated personal injury claims. Her role focuses primarily on employers’ liability and public liability claims to ensure that injured individuals receive the support and justice they deserve.
With a keen eye for details and a proactive approach, Ashton manages cases through their early stages offering clients clear guidance and building strong foundations for successful outcomes whilst working alongside clients, witnesses, experts and third-parties.
Ashton’s role as a claims handler is broad and dynamic. Ashton carries out key tasks such as assessing case merits once claims exit the portal, gathering liability evidence and obtaining medical and non-medical expert evidence. Ashton also reviews disclosure, assess claim value and liaises directly with clients, witnesses, union representatives, experts and opposing parties to drive cases forward with diligence and care.
Ashton graduated with an LLB Law Degree from Keele University in 2024 and joined Thompsons Solicitors in July 2023 after completing two weeks of work experience with the National Ligation Unit. Ashton says that the experience sparked a genuine passion for Claimant work and the warm, supportive team environment at Thompsons made it an easy decision to join the firm permanently. Ashton has been committed ever since to developing her skills and making areal difference for injured clients.
Outside of work, Ashton enjoys horse riding and dedicates much of her time to looking after and competing with her two horses at various competitions.
